EA Sports Is Bringing College Football Back!

Today brings great news to all the sports fans out there. Yes it’s true, EA Sports is bringing College Football back to the gaming world. We don’t know too much as of right now because all we have is this tweet from EA Sports but trust me, this is big news!

People of the sports gaming world have been waiting for this day for a long time. EA Sports NCCA was always among the best sellers until it was stopped dead in its tracks after NCAA 2014 was released. This happened after NCAA decided not to renew its’ contract with EA Sports due to of all the legal issues because they were using the players likeness and names. Now EA Sports will be partnering with the CLC- the leading collegiate trademark licensing company and will once again become the exclusive developer of collage football games.

This shows that you should never give up on a game you love. Cam Weber, EA SPORTS EVP and GM said “We’ve heard from the millions of passionate fans requesting the return of college football video games.”

We all know EA Sports does not want to get in the same trouble they got into before so they did make a statement saying “while this college game will not include student-athlete names, images and likenesses, EA SPORTS is continuing to watch those developments closely.” You might think that the game won’t be the same as back in the day. While this might be somewhat true, I feel it wont make that big of a difference since there is no better feeling than winning a big game as your longtime favorite team or alumni and seeing them hold up the trophy at the end.

So just like EA Sports said in their tweet today “For those who never stopped believing…” keep believing and I know EA Sports will deliver the game we have all been waiting for. Also stay posted on updates as they continue to be released.
