Everything You Missed at Blizzcon

Whether you were busy with work, school, family, or just didn’t have the time to watch all of Blizzcon, we’ve got you covered. You are in the right place to catch up on all the fun and exciting things Blizzard announced at their long-awaited convention this year.

Blizzard Arcade Collection

Most of us know Blizzard for its amazing games such as World of Warcraft and Overwatch but in the early 90s, arcade games were their strong suit. The team at Blizzard put together its full collection of arcade games and is re-releasing them to the public in both their original versions and definitive editions. Blast back to the past with games like The Lost Vikings, Rock-N-Roll Racing, and BlackThorne. This collection is already available on all platforms for only $19.99. So what are you waiting for? Relive your golden days or find out what your parents keep talking about when they say, “back in my day.”

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination

World of Warcraft will be getting a fresh new patch for its recent launch of Shadowlands. Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination will bring loads of new content including a new location: the lost city of Korthia, new quests, a 10-boss raid called Sanctum of Domination with the final boss being Sylvanas Windrunner, an 8-boss mega-dungeon focused on the brokers, and a whole bunch more. World of Warcraft has obviously been a huge part of Blizzard’s success so you know that’s not all they’ve been working on.

World of Warcraft – The Burning Crusade: Classic

Blizzard was not messing around when it came to World of Warcraft this year. Even though this was leaked before Blizzcon took place, The Burning Crusade: Classic will launch later this year and fans couldn’t be happier. Once The Burning Crusade is released you will be able to relive your early memories from 2007. On day one you will be able to start raids such as Karazhan, Gruul’s Lair, and Magtheridon’s Lair. There will be a level cap at 70 along with two new classes and flying mounts. World of Warcraft has been in people’s hearts for so long now, it only makes sense to make it the focus at Blizzcon.

Hearthstone Forged in Barrens Expansion and Mercenaries Mode

Hearthstone will be kicking off the Year of the Gryphon with a bang, by removing its original set of cards and ushering in a new line of cards to shake things up a bit. Since the launch of Hearthstone in 2014 players have been playing with the same base cards. The developers decided it was time for a change. This upcoming expansion will keep the game fresh for existing players and hopefully bring in new players. Along with this massive update, they teased a new mode called the Mercenaries mode. This mode will focus on building a team of mercenaries and fighting your way up until you reach the final boss.

Diablo 4 Rogue Class Trailer

Even though we were not blessed with a release date for Diablo 4, we were teased by a beautiful cinematic trailer with a little bit of gameplay at the end. This Rogue class was announced and it looks amazing. It has everything you need to fight your way through hell, including an array of ways to fight. Whether you’re a distance fighter or a quick slasher, the rogue class has got you covered. They even threw in a scene of the character riding a mount! Even though Diablo 4 isn’t coming out this year, there is still a light at the end of the long, long tunnel of hell.

Diablo 2 Resurrected

As I said, there was light at the end of the tunnel of hell and that light was just more hell. Yes, Diablo 2 will be getting a full-on remaster, just to hold you off long enough until Diablo 4 can be released. It seems like bringing back the old games everyone loved growing up was the theme this year at Blizzcon, and I don’t know about you but I love it. Blizzard took it a step further by making Diablo 2 playable as both its original version and as its remastered version; giving you the option to change back and forth whenever you are missing that classic look. Now I know it’s no Diablo 4, but I can’t wait to jump back into the depths of hell and experience the terror once again.

New Overwatch 2 Information

Unfortunately, we will not know the release date for Overwatch 2 this year but there was plenty of information to bring hope to Overwatch fans. With so much information I figured it would be best to focus on some of the key details and let the video below explain everything else. The team at Overwatch was not shy with their detailed visuals of new maps such as New York and Rome along with a new character Sojourn who uses a rail gun as her weapon of choice. Check out this behind the scenes video of the highly anticipated Overwatch 2
