Lies of P Announced

Neowiz and Round8 Studio announced their upcoming game Lies of P for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X. This new Souls-like Action RPG is inspired by the classic Italian novel, The Adventures of Pinocchio. If you’re a Disney fan, don’t get too excited because this is not the Pinocchio you grew up with. Instead, you will be roaming around a dark Belle Époque world where all of humanity is lost. Your goal is to find Mr. Geppetto to learn the mystery of what happened to you and the world.

You will play as Pinocchio, a puppet mechanoid, as you work your way through the city. You will be able to craft weapons from materials you find and learn how to survive this ruined land as you interact with the few who have managed to survive in this pre-industrial hellscape. The Lies of P will feature a richly detailed crafting system, profound narrative choices, and deeply customizable character progression.

Jiwon Choi, the director of development for Lies of P, mentioned that they had had the Lies of P concept on their mind for quite some time. We are excited to see this dark twist on Pinocchio. It’s an interesting concept, and if the gameplay is good, we think this could be a massive hit.

“We’ve been toying with the idea of retelling Pinocchio’s tale in our own way for some time. Lies of P is the culmination of our dreams and our nightmares. It’s definitely a version of this classic story that you’ve never seen before,”

It wouldn’t be a Pinocchio story if a lie weren’t told here or there, so the development team has made every lie you tell matter in the Lies of P. With every lie you tell, the more human you become. So how will you play? Will you be a puppet forever, or will you lie your way into being real? You can add Lies of P to your Steam Wishlist today so you can stay up to date on everything coming out in the future. Let us know if you are going to play Lies of P when it comes out in the comments down below.
