Suppose you have been living under a rock for the past month or so. Let me fill you in on the next big thing coming to gaming. Battlefield 2042 will be launched on October 22, 2021, and let me tell you, it looks marvelous. Some details we know about Battlefield 2042 are, it won’t have a Story Mode, No Battle Royale, and its primary game mode will be a 128 player all-out war as you try and capture zones in a giant battlefield. Like I said sounds pretty awesome. Well, unless you are a Battel Royale fan, then you might need to stick to Warzone or Fortnite. But if you’re looking for something new and exciting, get ready for BattleField 2042.
Now that we are all caught up on Battlefield 2042 let’s get to the question posted at the top of this article. Will Battlefield 2042 take over the streaming world? Obviously, with it being Battlefield and since it’s going to be a brand new game, of course, it will take over the streaming world. For at least a month or so, but what about after that. Will it stick around like Warzone or Fortnite, or will it fizzle out like flairs on a fighter jet? If the gameplay trailer is any indicator of what we are getting on October 22nd, then I would have to say Battlefield will 100% stay at the top of the streamers list.
Let me go into details explaining why I feel like Battlefield 2042 will be here to stay for a long time. First off, it’s Battlefield, a critically acclaimed action shooter that seems to never go out of style no matter how many are made. Secondly is its 128 player game mode. Think about it, 128 players. It might as well be a Battle Royale but with a twist. I can already see teams of streamers getting heavily involved in making expert call-outs and try-harding through the whole match. I can also see the less serious streamers messing around with friends and having a blast since death isn’t the end of the line in this game mode.
This gives the viewers a variety of options. You can watch the skilled players dominate a match with a massive amount of action and awesome gameplay. Or you can watch a non-serious streamer crack joke with their friends as they just off of 100 story buildings and wingsuit into a tornado. With so many ways to enjoy Battlefield 2042, I can see it being one of the top contenders on Twitch and YouTube for streaming. Hey, it might even give those hot tub streams a run for their money. Who am I kidding, sadly we live in a world where girls in a Hot Tub will always win over playing a game that people have put Hundreds if not thousands of hours into creating.
I hope that I’m not entirely wrong in Battlefield 2042 being a popular game to stream. But I’m not worried as long as everything we have seen so far is true and the game really will be as awesome as it looks. Let me know if you think Battlefield 2042 is going to be as big in the streaming world as I believe it is or if you think it’s not going to be fun to watch at all.
