Xbox Game Pass Just Wont Stop

Xbox just released their plans for what looks like the first half of May. With the list of games down below all releasing on Xbox Game Pass before May 15th, I have a feeling that there will be more coming before the end of the month. But enough about what might be coming, and let’s focus on what’s coming to Xbox Game Pass in the next couple of days.

Xbox Game Pass Games For May

  • Dragon Quest Builders 2 (May 4)
  • FIFA 21 (May 6)
  • Outlast 2 (May 6)
  • Steep (May 6)
  • Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster (May 13)
  • Just Cause 4: Reloaded (May 13)
  • Psychonauts (May 13)
  • Red Dead Online (May 13)
  • Remnant from the Ashes (PC)

Games like Dragon Quest Builders, FIFA 21, Just Cause 4, and Red Dead Online are no joke. These are excellent titles that all come at a low cost of, let’s say, a Netflix and a Disney+ subscription combined. To be honest, with this many amazing games coming out this week, I might cancel those subscriptions, so it feels like I’m genuinely playing these games for free. It’s not like I’m going to have any time to watch shows/movies when I’m building a whole new world (get it, Aladdin, Disney+, no, just me, ok whatever.) in Dragon Quest Builder.

The fact that Xbox is just letting us give them $14.99, and they give you pretty much every recent sports game on the market is ridiculous. I could play a pickup game of basketball a whole nine innings of baseball, fly down a snowy mountain and then catch a game on the pitch all in one day. That’s not even all the sports games that are on there, and instead of paying $180 for those games at full price, I’m only paying $14.99 a month. It would cost a whole year of Xbox Game Pass to cost $180, and I could still get 100+ more games that I can download and play.

If you’re a PlayStation person, I get it, PlayStation has the best exclusives, and there’s no debate in that. But I wouldn’t judge if you started to hop on the Xbox ban wagon because you have already seen some of your exclusives head over to Xbox (Cough) MLB The Show (Cough). Plus, some of these exclusive are making their way over to PC after being out for a while.

I’m not saying to get rid of your PlayStation because, to be honest, I’m jealous I don’t have a PS5. Just keep getting an Xbox and Xbox Game Pass in the back of your mind. You never know, Tax return season is here, and the holidays are right around the corner (not really, but a boy can dream… I want a PS5), so maybe that Xbox could be on your wish list. Hopefully, one day we all can have the best of both worlds with our Xbox Series X and our PS5 all holding hands and getting along.

Thank you for reading my rant about how amazing Xbox Game Pass is. Also, I want to point out how amazing the gaming industry has been treating its community recently. It’s a great time to be a gamer, and I hope everyone can get the system and subscriptions they want so peace can flow through the world.
